Terms of Service
Larnaca Larnacadrive Metro · Larnaca, Cyprus
These terms explain how Larnaca Larnacadrive Metro works as a car hire comparison and affiliate service for Larnaca, Cyprus, and what to expect when you book a rental car through this website. Please read them together with the rental agreement you receive from the supplier at pickup, since that supplier agreement, not this page, governs the actual hire of the vehicle.
About this agreement
Larnaca Larnacadrive Metro operates larnacadrive.com as a comparison and affiliate service for car hire in Larnaca, Cyprus. We do not own, operate or manage a rental fleet ourselves. Instead, we work with local Cypriot car rental suppliers through the LocalRent platform, which powers the live availability and pricing shown on this site.
When you complete a booking here, you are entering into a direct rental agreement with the supplier that owns the vehicle, not with Larnaca Larnacadrive Metro. By using this website and completing a booking, you accept these terms in full.
The rental contract
The rental contract for your car is formed between you and the local supplier assigned to your booking through LocalRent, not between you and Larnaca Larnacadrive Metro. Our role is to compare available cars in Larnaca, present transparent pricing, and pass your booking request to the supplier through the LocalRent platform.
The supplier's own rental agreement, presented at the time of booking or at the pickup counter, sets out the detailed terms of your hire: the vehicle group, mileage allowance, fuel policy, and any local conditions. Read it carefully before you sign, since it is the contract that legally governs your rental, not the text on this page. The table below is a quick guide to who handles what.
| Task | Who handles it |
|---|---|
| Comparing cars and prices | Larnaca Larnacadrive Metro |
| Confirming your booking and taking payment | The local supplier, via LocalRent |
| Handing over the vehicle and keys | The local supplier |
| Insurance, excess and deposit | The local supplier |
| Cancellations, changes and refunds | The local supplier |
| Cross border permission (see below) | The local supplier, arranged in advance |
Booking and payment
Bookings made through larnacadrive.com are processed via the LocalRent platform, which passes your reservation details, payment information and any special requests directly to the supplier. Depending on the supplier and the rate you choose, payment may be taken in full at the time of booking, partly online with the balance due at pickup, or entirely at the rental counter.
Larnaca Larnacadrive Metro does not hold your payment. Funds are collected and processed by the supplier or by LocalRent on the supplier's behalf. Always check the payment schedule shown at checkout before confirming, and keep your booking confirmation and payment receipt, since you will usually need to show them at pickup.
Cancellations and no shows
Cancellation policies are set by the individual supplier, not by Larnaca Larnacadrive Metro, and are shown clearly at checkout before you confirm your booking. Many rates allow free cancellation up to a set number of hours before pickup, while lower, non refundable rates may not be cancellable at all.
If you cancel outside the free cancellation window, or fail to collect the car at the agreed time and location without contacting the supplier, this is treated as a no show, and part or all of the rental fee may be forfeited under the supplier's own policy. If your flight is delayed, contact the supplier directly and as early as possible. Most suppliers will hold a car for a reasonable grace period, but this is not guaranteed and depends entirely on the individual supplier's terms.
Driver requirements and documents
To collect a rental car in Larnaca you will generally need a valid driving licence that you have held for a minimum period set by the supplier (commonly one to three years), a passport or national ID, and the payment card used for the booking. Licences issued in the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States are generally accepted by suppliers in Cyprus, though minimum driver age and young driver surcharges vary by supplier.
If your licence was issued outside these regions, or is not printed in Latin characters, it is generally advisable to also carry an International Driving Permit alongside your national licence, since some suppliers may ask for one at the counter. Document requirements are set by each supplier individually, so we recommend checking the specific requirements shown on your booking confirmation and, if in doubt, contacting the supplier before you travel.
Insurance and deposits
Insurance cover, excess amounts and any refundable security deposit are part of the supplier's own rental terms, not ours. Standard rental rates usually include basic third party and collision cover with an excess, and suppliers commonly offer optional upgrades to reduce or remove that excess.
A security deposit, held on your payment card and released after the car is returned undamaged, is standard practice among suppliers in Larnaca and is separate from the rental fee itself. Deposit amounts, excess levels and what the insurance does and does not cover differ from supplier to supplier, so review the details shown at checkout and ask the supplier directly if anything is unclear before you drive away.
Crossing the Green Line
Cyprus is divided by the Green Line, the buffer zone that separates the Republic of Cyprus in the south from the Turkish administered area in the north. Standard rental terms from suppliers in Larnaca do not cover driving the rental car across the Green Line into the north.
Taking a rental vehicle north typically requires the specific supplier's written permission, arranged in advance, together with separate cross border insurance that is not included in your normal rental agreement. Do not assume that a booking made through this website automatically allows travel to the north.
If crossing the Green Line is part of your plans, contact the supplier well before your pickup date, confirm in writing whether they permit it for your specific vehicle, and arrange the additional insurance they require. Crossing without this permission and cover can leave you personally liable for any damage, loss or legal issue that arises on the other side, and may also breach the terms of your rental agreement.
Liability and limits
Larnaca Larnacadrive Metro acts solely as a comparison and booking facilitation service. We are not a party to the rental contract, do not own or insure any vehicle, and are not responsible for the condition of any car, the conduct of any supplier, or events that occur during your rental period.
Our liability is limited to the accuracy of the information we display and the correct passing of your booking request to the supplier through LocalRent. Claims relating to the vehicle, the rental itself, insurance, deposits or any incident during your hire should be directed to the supplier, whose own terms and insurance govern that liability. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service, our supplier network, or applicable regulations. The version published on larnacadrive.com at the time of your booking applies to that booking. We recommend checking this page occasionally if you use our service regularly, since continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised terms.
